First Student Response
The paper has a good introduction that hinged the argument on assessing networks’ future based on software-defined networking. Technology innovation is expected to integrate the hardware and software, creating an abstraction that would open up the layer for more operations. It further argues that abstraction will enable normal network operations without concern about the underlying hardware. The paper’s introduction was satisfactorily good, technical words were used, and it also entailed a good flow of thought.
The paper also presents a detailed discussion on how the presence of WIFI 6 and 5G networks will drastically impact information exchange as the frequency wavebands will be increased from 24GHz to 100GHz for short-range and radio services. In turn, it will result in the creation of 5G and LTE technology. To support this argument, the paper presents research by Hoff (2015) on backscattering technology that reuses available frequency rather than generating new signals. Additionally, the paper presumes that networking technologies will be developed to replace the Internet Protocol and further adds how 4D networking will enhance the existing limitations of IP networks. Generally, all the discussed improvements in networking contribute to making communication faster and efficient. In turn, it will improve online trading due to the improved safety of the technologies.

Second Student Response
The paper’s introduction is good, as it begins by describing how networking has transformed people’s interactions across the globe by allowing people to share information and work effectively with others. This part of the introduction provides the paper with a strong foundation on how networks have impacted the world. The paper has strong thought connections, which provides it with a good flow. Specifically, from the background information, the paper delves deeper to discuss the evolution from ARPANET to NSFNET to the INTERNET. Further, it gives other examples of the evolution of 1Gbps to 5GB. The background information is used to justify how networks will evolve further in the future. Additionally, it is expected that more people will be used as many services will be incorporated into 5G.

The paper discusses both positive and negative reviews on the future of networking. This provides the arguments with a holistic perspective on the future of networking. I agree that the evolution in networks will transform the global economy, creating immense opportunities in the business sector. However, I’m afraid I have to disagree that the future of networking will bring disruption in major industries across the globe. I opine that rather than disruption, future networks will streamline activities. I also agree that the future of networking will create new industries that will result in job opportunities.
